For this video, I wanted to take you inside a little experiment I’ve been working on. I spent some time diving deep into the ASM Diosynth's engine, specifically playing around with sine waves to see how smooth and organic I could get the tone. To get that spacious, atmospheric texture, I really fine-tuned the effects chain, dialing in a lush reverb and a custom delay setting that sits just right in the mix. As a woodwind player, I'm always looking for electronic sounds that still have that natural, expressive feel, and I’m really happy with how this patch turned out. It’s incredibly relaxing to play, and I hope it’s just as relaxing to listen to. About the Patch: This sound relies heavily on the purity of the sine wave architecture. Usually, wind synths lean towards aggressive saw or square waves to cut through a mix, but I wanted to explore the softer side of the engine. I mapped the breath pressure heavily to the filter cutoff and reverb wet/dry mix. It creates that 3D "blooming" effect you hear in the video. It’s a great example of how the ASM engine handles dynamic modulation matrices.
