This is one of many beautiful soundtracks written by the great film composer Ennio Morricone. Gabriel’s Oboe from “The Mission” has been performed and arranged by many musicians including Yo Yo Ma and 2Cellos. In our version, the cello and flute share the melody while the harp provides the backdrop. We have dedicated this track the memory of Mike's friend and colleague Tim Bishop, a member of the Virginia Symphony, who passed away on March 12, 2018. He thought this song was quite beautiful, as do many others.
