Heavy Duty Accu-Slice System - Slicing Longer and Wider Boards - Part 2

This video will be part two of a series describing the development of a new Heavy Duty Industrial version of the Manual version of the Accu-Slice System. It will use many of the same components that we will be using during the development of the Automated Accu-Slice system which is described in another video series. In this video we describe improvements to the Heavy Duty Accu-Slice System to enable the accurate slicing of boards from 5 foot long up to 7 ft 3" long. Onto the 36" long index table we attached a 6 foot rail with two 4 foot extensions, providing for a 14 foot long rail which would enable the slicing of boards up to 7.5 foot long. Improvements to the system included the addition of two new rail support units to minimize system vibration and brushes to keep sawdust from getting into the roller bearings.
