2 12 26 Lucy & I Warm Morning Hunt

Well, it looks like winter has left us and we're stuck with a warm rest of the season. This is the way it always does. We want to keep going till April or so, but it always warms up in February. I know there will be some cooler days, but I haven't been since Monday and so I put out seven birds for Lucy and she and I went. Lucy did her usual and just went from one bird to the other with very little flash and not much speed. However, the Garmin said she traveled at 7.7 miles per hour which is more than I can do for sure. As usual, she found every bird, one after the other and I had to shoot at 2 two different times. It was a fun morning for an old man and an old dog. I keep saying this, but I am so thankful to be blessed to have all of this to do in my twilight years. I know there are a lot of things I could worry about such as the government, inflation, crime, cost-of-living, but when I go bird hunting, I can say Inhonestly never think of any of that and I think about the beauty that God has made and how much I love Miss Lucy and how much fun it is for me to move along slowly and enjoy her and the birds. With all of this and at my age, it's very hard to get concerned about all this "stuff". Thanks be to God who allows me to do this. And can it be!
