In traditional society, married women used it to secure their hair styled in place and it was believed to carry a special spell reflecting the wearer's soul. Initially worn by both genders, it became exclusive to women after the Joseon (jow·see·uhn) Dynasty and was often gifted by grooms as a symbol of love. Paired with “Evocation,” So-wol Kim’s poem reflects on the pain of lost love, and the passage of time. The music describes the unforgettable beautiful memory of the past love with linear melody and colorful harmony.
