How to Add Fortnite to Steam [TUTORIAL]

If you're anything like me, you get a lot of use out of Steam's native recording function to make fun clips and gameplay highlights, but it obviously only works with Steam games. Here's a tutorial on how to add Fortnite to Steam so you can use that native recording function in Fortnite. Text Version: 1. Go to your Steam library and click the "Add Game" button and select "Add Non-Steam Game" 2. Click "Browse..." to open up a Windows Explorer panel and go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Epic Games\Launcher\Engine\Binaries\Win32\ 3. Select "EpicGamesLauncher.exe" and click OK. 4. Click on "Add Selected Programs" and close the dialog 5. Launch Epic Games and locate Fortnite in your library 6. Click on the "..." near or under Fortnite to bring up a sub-menu. Select "Manage" and from this menu click the button to "Add Desktop Shortcut" 7. Locate your Fortnite shortcut on your desktop or by travelling to your desktop folder and right click on it and select "Properties" 8. In the Properties panel, click into the URL text box and press CTRL+A to select all of the text. Then you can press CTRL+C to copy or right click and select "copy" 9. Go back to Steam and right click the "EpicGamesLauncher" you added. Select "Properties" and within the Properties menu you'll see a text box labeled "launch options" 10. In the "launch options" box, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT, type a hyphen(this thing - ) and then paste the URL you got from your Fortnite shortcut. it should look something like: -com.epicgames.launcher://apps/kasdkdbvclmnas;kkjfsd (it's really long) Now whenever you want to launch Fortnite you can do it directly from Steam. IMPORTANT NOTE: Before you use Steam to record Fortnite clips, be sure to go to your Steam settings and find the Game Recording settings and change "Record Audio From..." to either "All System Audio" or manually enable audio for Fortnite by ticking the box. (make sure it's open or it won't be in the list Bonus tip: You can customise your Fortnite steam entry by right clicking and going to the "Properties" menu. Here you can rename it by using the top text box or change the icon by clicking on the square icon and uploading your own. (I found a Fortnite logo from Logopedia and converted it to PNG). You can even right click on the empty space on the actual game page to upload your own custom banner if you've got some artwork or a screenshot. Hope this was helpful~!
