【Soviet Song】Childhood: That's Me and You w/ ENG Lyrics

I've always been fond of Soviet music. And one day I just happened to stumble upon this lovely piece of children song. Children songs (basically Pioneer songs) is perhaps one of the best genres of Soviet music, since the lyrics are mostly apolitical, which is, understandably, pretty rare. To be honest, I don't know too much about this song, despite my love for it. I'm just...not Russian. This is a Pioneer song no doubt, but it was written in 1980, by then China had went full pro-US and obviously didn't import this piece in, so most Chinese has never heard of it. But I do know that there have been quite a lot of different versions of this song available, the one I used is probably the most official one, by the famed Big Children Choir. If you want to look up some other versions of this song, just google its Russian name "детство - это я и ты". The rhythm and lyrics really got me going, so when I found out that there'd been no English translation for this song, I just went ahead and made one myself (and you might've noticed I also did a Chinese translation). I managed to collect some footage of daily lives in 70s/80s Moscow (which is actually harder a job than you might think) and did a bit of editing and actually made a little MV of the sort--which is completely beyond what I had initially planned.
