Mostly just lowered the bass on those. Alrighty,... the '97 Winter run in Japan was a short tour that produced a lotta excellent performances. Twas also the second & last tour by this band unit after David Kemper replaced longstanding drummer Winston Watson on the onset of the U.S. Fall tour of 1996. ⭐   • Bob Dylan ~ Smokin' Down The Tracks (Best ...   = Best Of The 1996 U.S. Fall Tour On average thought that they sounded better than that previous tour. Especially so on the acoustic based tracks. ... More focused & less frantic. ... Probably due to a combination of it being their second tour together as well as the given performance settings. ... Very attentive audiences throughout. Respectfully quiet, yet enthusiastic as well. ... All of which are nicely reflected within the various recordings of this top-notch tour. Also worth noting, tracks 22 - 25 are kinda meant to be encore, bonus typa material. Very bass heavy & raw sounding captures that showcase the bursts of electricity produced from the audiences during encores. There was certainly something in the air at the end parts of those opening shows. ... Rainy Day Women, & Like A Rolling Stone feature the best audience sing-along's this side of Glasgow 2004, and although not completely word-perfect, Girl From The North Country displays a unique, one-off style arrangement that at least feels as if it was spontaneously performed. ...
