In this extended video, I fly Etihad Airways flight EY 477 from Bali (Denpasar) to Abu Dhabi, onboard the Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner in Business Class. After an amazing trip in Indonesia, it was time to return to the Middle East — and this 8-hour overnight flight onboard Etihad’s sleek Dreamliner turned out to be a mix of calm luxury, signature hospitality, and genuine comfort. Join me for a 47-minute full journey— from the ground experience in Bali and lounge visit, to boarding, seat tour, dinner service, Etihad’s famous steak sandwich, and our sunrise arrival into Abu Dhabi’s brand-new Terminal A. About Etihad Airways Based in Abu Dhabi, Etihad Airways was founded in 2003 and has since built a reputation as a boutique global airline, focusing on refined design, consistent service, and sustainability. Its fleet includes the B787, A350-100, B777-300ER, A320neo family, connecting Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia through its Middle-Eastern hub. Etihad stands out for its calm, elegant approach to luxury — no excess, just quiet excellence and design inspired by Abu Dhabi’s culture. Cabin Overview On this Boeing 787-10, Etihad offers two cabins: Business Studio (32 seats) in a 1-2-1 layout, each transforming into a fully flat bed with direct aisle access. Economy Smart Seats (267 seats) in a 3-3-3 layout, each with 11-inch HD screens, adjustable headrests, USB & power outlets. The Business Studio design is timeless — subtle bronze tones, geometric lighting, and Etihad’s signature honeycomb motif. Seat width is 22 inches with an 80-inch bed length; each suite includes storage space, mood lighting, a side console, and a 15.6-inch HD touchscreen. Even in Economy, the Dreamliner feels premium — quiet, bright, and spacious, with soft lighting and Etihad’s excellent E-Box entertainment system available for all passengers. Dinner & Snack Service Etihad’s dining combines regional inspiration with international style. Starter: Asian-style shrimp salad* — light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced with sesame dressing and crunchy vegetables. Main Course: Balinese-style chicken with rice and crackers* — flavorful, mildly spiced, and beautifully plated. Dessert: Passion-fruit cheesecake — creamy, tropical, and an absolute highlight. The dinner was served restaurant-style with full table settings, real glassware, and elegant presentation. The crew’s pace was perfect — never rushed, never too slow, and always attentive. Before landing, Etihad served a light snack instead of breakfast. I went for Etihad’s signature steak sandwich — warm, juicy slices of beef with melted cheese and caramelized onions — easily one of the best Business-Class snacks in the sky. The E-Box entertainment system features over 250 movies, live TV, music playlists, and a real-time 3D flight map with external camera views. The 15.6-inch HD screen is sharp and responsive. After dinner, lights dimmed to deep blue and amber. The Dreamliner’s lower cabin altitude and higher humidity made rest much easier. With Etihad’s thick pillow and blanket, the seat converted into a genuinely comfortable bed, and I slept for several hours before descent. Touchdown was perfectly smooth during midnight. Terminal A is Etihad’s new home — bright, modern, efficient, and finally on par with the world’s best hubs. So, how was Etihad EY 477 from Bali to Abu Dhabi? The 787-10 is ultra-quiet, modern, and comfortable; however, some seat panels show minor wear. The Business Studio remains one of the most elegant designs — spacious, private, and comfortable — though newer suites with doors now surpass it in privacy. Excellent presentation, strong flavors, and perfect portion size. The shrimp salad and steak sandwich stood out as true highlights. Calm, professional, and attentive — maybe not overly personal, but very consistent. Top-tier selection, smooth interface, and stable connectivity. Terminal A is a massive leap forward — clean, efficient, and visually stunning.
