This video takes a more detailed look at the collapse of Champlain Towers South condominium building in Surfside, Miami. The 3D modeling is based on the 1979/80 Structural and Architectural drawings made available by the town of Surfside. Using video, eyewitness and photos evidence available so far, I have animated and simulated what happened here as accurately as the clues will inform. I have stabilized the eyewitness video footage for maximum clarity. I am an Architect with a career in designing and constructing buildings including experience in the USA. I caution that its still too early to know why it collapsed. This reasons for failure are only a suggestion. My analysis has been arrived at from discussions with structural engineers.
