The Greek word, Evangelio, " Gospel" or "Good News" used by the Ceasar's and or Political leader's messengers in the first century to announce that good news is on the way in a proclamation of the transfer of power. Of course this usually was preceded by months or years of political infighting or war between armies culminating in thousands of deaths. However, we have these Gospels or proclamations from Matthew, Luke, John, and today's Good News of Mark proclaiming a new King is arriving. One who did not start a war with generals or create a political party, however One who would enter the world in a peaceful, loving revolution. Come join us today as we hear John the Baptist's "Good News" of One who would change the world forever.
