Made with Suno (4.5) Messing around with lore to song ideas and this first generation turned out well, although does go hard given the fight. A Greek tragedy scenario from 2017, not long before the events of Herium. The chronomage, an immortal ally of the soon to be overseer and harbinger, had long ago fell under a similar fate as Karloff (From Prophet of No Face) by becoming “seeded” by the Faceless one (originally called the “faceless angel” due to the mental pictures it sent through communication), slowly over time merging their consciousnesses into effectively one being, working under its will. The chronomage would since become its most useful instrument in its goals. Strangely enough, the Faceless one, driven purely for its own self-preservation would come to saving not only the main earth Heled from destruction, but later the very existence of the universe by healing a fracture in time and space that it created as the by-product of saving Heled through the use of its unparalleled powers of time and the artifacts it acquired to magnify such, including Semyaza’s staff and the annals of time. The chronomage would come across Salarien (The Harbinger), at this point beginning to struggle more and more with his growing corruption. He’d ask his old friend in assisting him to heal the tear in reality, which they would come to doing. However, during and after this endeavor, the whispers plaguing the priest would fill him with paranoia, telling him things such as “his friend was not what he seemed.” These whispers were not technically wrong, as they did have a truth to them given his change, but Salarien would never know and react in post anguish after striking against his old friend and robbing the Faceless One from its most useful tool. It was interesting to me during this time in the lore of aberrant entities (parasitical beings in nature) such as the faceless and Pale Prophet being effective heroic figures despite their motivations being purely for self-preservation. Especially the ironic case of the faceless saving the main world and the universe itself. (Some elements of this short story still are uncertain of being canon, such as the events in how it saved Heled from destruction, involving his alliance with the prodigy soul during his slave life for this event.) The idea of the fight itself I wanted this song to convey, is both those themes above, but also the power this figure has in reversing time throughout his phases, effectively starting over the encounter. Salarien eventually has enough and plots a way to effectively counter him when he begins to reverse again, then proceeding to shatter his staff. The place this encounter takes place is thought to be within the archives of heavens themselves, which have long been eerily absent (atleast to mortal perspective perhaps, or due to more grave reasons).
