I LOVE THIS GAME!!! We are here with another childhood favorite, Beyblade VForce - Ultimate Blader Jam for Game Boy Advance! This was the first GBA game that I owned instead of borrowing games from my brother or neighbor. Growing up without cable or satellite TV, I didn't get to watch the Beyblade show. However, I still had the toys! My brother and I had quite a few of the battle tops between us, as well as multiple stadiums. We would battle with our neighbors and other friends, and it was a great time collecting, customizing, and battling with each other. Because of that, my parents found a Beyblade game for Game Boy Advance and got it for either my birthday or Christmas - I forget exactly which - and I immediately started into it. I was surprised that it wasn't a fighting/Beyblade battling game like I expected, but actually a platformer/obstacle course sort of game, like Marble Madness or Super Monkeyball. However, it's designed and controls quite well, the Beyblade universe and mechanics actually work well for this kind of game, the difficulty curve isn't too steep, and there's a not-that-incredible, but still nice, basic storyline that's told entirely in cutscene slideshows between levels. There are collectables to grab on each level, and there are par times to try to complete each level on to unlock bonus levels, giving further challenge and replay value to this game. I have not unlocked all the bonus levels before, so I am not sure how challenging it is to do, but I will try to do it in this playthrough! This video features the first three episodes of the game. The game contains seven total episodes with seven main levels and one bonus level each. As the game gets harder and harder, I don't think I will be able to fit three more episodes into the next video of this series.... Hopefully two, but we will see! I think this is a wonderful game. While you hear the main theme a whole lot (main menu and in between levels), all of the soundtrack fits that good pop-punk + guitar solos vibe of the early 2000's. Also, if you don't want to emulate it and want a real physical copy for Game Boy Advance, it's quite cheap secondhand from eBay or if you find it in retro gaming stores. I highly recommend if you're a collector, or still playing GBA games in this day and age.
