Why not spend a week or two (or more!) dancing and having a blast with your new friends in the Lake Tahoe region of Northern California for American Dance Training Camps' Sierra Mountains Dance Camp at Squaw Valley USA, a year-round destination resort on the magnificent slopes of the Sierra Nevada Mountains?! American Dance Training Camp is THE place to make new friends, learn cool moves & have a BLAST in the summer. And ADTC Sierra Mountains is the ULTIMATE overnight dance camp offering dance, adventure, sun & summer fun easy driving distance from San Francisco, Sacramento & Reno. Our West Coast home is the Squaw Valley Academy. The campus blends scenic beauty with convenient, modern facilities, and is big enough to contain everything for a stimulating dance camp experience, and small enough to feel like home. In California, ADTC offers four different dance camp types (ULTIMATE dance camps for girls ages 10 - 17; INTENSIVE dance camps for girls ages 12 - 17; COUNSELOR-IN-TRAINING dance camps for girls ages 16 - 17; and TEACHER TRAINING dance camps for ages 18 +) - all tailored to your specific age/interests and appetite. In addition to core dance classes in contemporary, hip hop & jazz (styles of jazz vary and may include lyrical, modern or Broadway), dancers at our ULTIMATE Sierra Mountains dance camp will choose between ballet, tap or world dance for their core elective dance discipline. Campers take four dance classes per day, and at week's end, they get to show off their new moves in a big Friday night performance for family, friends and fellow campers. Day camp option is available at all overnight dance camp locations (but 99% of campers choose to stay overnight). At the Squaw Valley Academy, campers stay in double-occupancy log-cabin-esque dorms with shared bathrooms. Hallway blocks are organized by age, and ADTC staff are housed in single rooms on each floor. Building amenities include community lounges (for watching TV, doing arts & crafts and hanging out), laundry facilities, and a Dance Canteen for basic supplies, snacks, ADTC apparel & souvenirs. And at ADTC ULTIMATE Sierra Mountains you can enjoy AWESOME ACTIVITIES & EXTRAS like horseback riding, ice skating, a ropes course, sky jump trampolines, a sunset kayak trip on beautiful Lake Tahoe & more!
