I have some great cheap and easy DIY’s for you today! In todays video I’m creating some DIY and give a new face to some old decor. For my bedroom I want to include more neutral colours and natural textures. I turned an old candle jar into a clay candle holder, with some nice natural textures using plaster/wall filler. In this video I also show you how you easily can empty and clean out an old candle jar from the wax. Another tip is that you can reuse the wax that you took out from the old jar and use them for your candle warmer! The second DIY I created is a pedestal bowl using an IKEA bowl and a small candle jar that I don’t use. I stuck the two pieces together using double sided tape (for some reason I don’t trust that glue on glass will be durable), and then spray painting the whole piece matte black. This hack is super cute and very in right now. This bowl is a very nordic, simple yet stylish decor! Third DIY is a sand photo frame. I took an old photo Fram I had laying around and mixed wall paint with baking soda to get a beautiful grain effect - the texture looks like a beautiful mix between sand and clay and brings a warmer and natural feeling into my very grey-and-black bedroom. The fourth DIY is a beautiful bubble vase. I took a glas vase and stuck styrofoam balls on it, and filled the wholes and spaces using wall/plaster filler. To get more of a rustic and natural feel to the vase I mixed some of the wall filler with water and went roughly over the styrofoam balls with a brush. After that dried up, I once again took my sand wall paint and mixed it with baking soda and covered the whole outside and inside of the vase. The result is a beautiful textured, clay/stone vase. The great thing about this vase is the less perfect it turns out the better it looks, so this DIY/hack is TOTALLY beginner friendly!
