"The Griswolds make Dinner" Episode 1: I live my life by a simple motto: Act. Adapt. Re-act. ... Re-adapt...? My point is: our YouTube channel is earning less money than it's earned at any point in the past 4 years. A bit of a bummer. In fact, a huge bummer. Part of me says just shelf it for now. Stop making videos for the next week as we drive back home. Our next trip is planned to be Saudi Arabia - China - Korea - Indonesia. It's not booked yet, but something like this is going to happen-- and soon! We expect it to put us back on the plus side of things. So, maybe it's best to save our bullets for when there is something worth shooting. BUUUUT In an effort of consistency, persistency and subsistency, Ivana and I decided to keep publishing stuff. We figured we could do more personal stuff, rather than stressing ourselves to tour a city that nobody is going to watch anyway. It turns out we totalLY REDEEMED OURSELVES!! (Not sure anyone is going to watch it yet, but it was hecka fun to film this video. Reminds us of our early days on YouTube, where we had so much fun and no money.) And so: in this video we attempt to prepare and eat food, in our own Griswold style. This may seem like a pretty simple task, but we are not simple people. Will the 5 of us manage to consume enough calories to live another day? Or will patriarch of a small family of three, throw the food onto the ground, rendering it rather unsavory. Stay tuned to find out!! Also: watch again the clip when Ivana's very good looking noodle dish is on the ground. It appears the handle is still attached to the pan. Minutes later, Steve confidently tell the audience, the accident occured because the handle and the pan became disconnected. Steve swears, to this day, that the pan and handle became separated-- whereas the footage shows otherwise. What to make of this? Is Steve a no-good-for-nothing-dirty-rotten-liar? Or has he convinced himself of a false memory: as a way to shield himself from the humiliation of endless mockery? Is his brain so powerful to created lies that even he cannot overcome? Most concerningly: Is it really a lie, if he believes it? We can only hope that one day, science can operate on such a distorted brain. Put it to good use. We can only hope.
