Talk about paradise. I just couldn't stop smiling. We arrived at Pacific Dunes Ranch RV Resort in Oceano, California and were treated to the most incredible sights and sounds. Driving to the upper campground, you're immediately stunned by the beauty to the right. There is an access point to the dunes and it is a giant sand box. It made us feel like kids again and Fiona had a blast. This is the site of many photo shoots and it's easy to see why. The beach is a 30 minute walk from the campground and you'll have access to Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area once on the beach. Try saying that five times fast! On this particular day we mostly explored the nature preserve but the next day we enjoyed Oceano Dunes SVRA: http://ohv.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=1207 The campground is situated close to the beach and shopping. There are countless things to explore from this area, so it's a nice starting point.
