An interpretive dance to "Hatikva" ("The Hope") by Marty Goetz. The beginning of the song is about the suffering and pain that the Jewish people endured during the holocaust. Through that pain they were "yearning deep in their heart" ("the hope") for their land. At the end of the song: "to be a free people in our land", shows their joy at the rebirth of the nation of Israel. The flag symbolizes that 'shalom' ("peace") will one day be enjoyed by all in the city of our King. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! Translation of "Hatikva" ("The Hope"), Israel's National Anthem, into English: As long as the Jewish spirit is yearning deep in the heart, with eyes turned toward the East, looking toward Zion, then our hope - the two-thousand-year-old hope - will not be lost: To be a free people in our land, the land of Zion and Jerusalem.
