Welcome to week 1 of our Yoga for Deep Core and Pelvic Floor series! This week I have for you a slow and gentle yin yoga class that goes deep into the hips for a deep fascia release. We will hold poses for several minutes in order to allow the fascia to let go, releasing tension and stored emotional energy. Since many people store difficult emotions in the hip region, do not be surprised if you experience a flood of emotions during deep releasing stretches. Stay connected to your breath; listen to your body as you let the ego fade away; and meet yourself with compassion on the mat today.
