Kaaf/Gaaf are of two types, big and small. In the big Kaaf, Alif is three Qat and big Bay is attached to it's lowered part and at Alif allurement of three Qat is to be attached from first line to second line and Bay between the second and third line. The allurement of the Bay is to be attached with the lower part of the Alif in a very attractive way. However, small Kaaf is alone then it is Alif is five Qat, but the allurement is of five Qat and it's bottom plinth is of three Qat. If the Gaaf is to be required, then the allurement of three Qat is to be formed. Kaaf is also an ok important letter of Arabic and Persian sets of Alphabets. It is also frequently used in Arabic, Quranic or Islamic calligraphy. Whereas the Gaaf is particular to Urdu or Arab-Persian, Shahmukhi or Punjabi scripts or styles of writing. This traditional art form is considered to be the historic and contemporary visual culture of Islamic societies. This beautiful way of writing Urdu or Calligraphy is also known as Khushkhati, Khushnaveesi, Khattati or Khat and the practitioner is called Khattat or Calligrapher.
