This is one of my favorite songs from the game. I probably say that about every DKC song I record but I can't help it!!! This song is fairly simple and I think that is what I like about it. I was heavily influenced by the Donkey Kong Country Returns remix of this song. I had fun adding the guitars and layers and layers of drums to this. I have to thank Michelle for coming up with the guitar harmony at the end. She is the master of harmonies! Originally I was not going to put bass guitar in the song but I felt it added a nice groove with the drum beat in the second half. This is also the first time I had multiple cameras filming me on drums. I've always wanted to do an overhead shot of the drums and with some tape and a GoPro camera it was possible.
