In December 2000, DSB leased three red Desiro 2-car sets from Angel Trainz Contracts Ltd. The three sets were newly built by Siemens AG in Germany and were identical to the German type DB 642. After being equipped with i.a. coffee machines, they were put into ordinary operation on the Svendborg line on 22 March 2001 as MQ 4951 / 4971-4953 / 4973. The experience with Desiro was good, and DSB therefore decided in 2002 to rent 12 brand new train sets from Angel Trainz Contracts Ltd. for i.a. to be able to run the entire operation on the Svendborg line with MQ. The three original train sets were returned, and the 12 new sets arrived in the autumn of 2002 - painted in DSB's new gray / blue design. During 2002, the 12 train sets were put into operation on the Svendborg line, where they replaced the MR trains. In 2010, Siemens delivered a further 8 train sets (MQ 4123-4130) for use on the Grenå line, where they took over the traffic from letter MR from December. In the summer of 2016, the Grenå line closed to be converted into a light rail and the redundant MQ train sets were deployed on Lille Syd on the Roskilde-Køge-Næstved section. In 2020, DSB lost operations on several sidings and all MQ train sets were sold to Midtjyske Jernbaner and Arriva. The train engines in the video are Arriva AR 4084 and Arriva AR 4090. Top speed 120 km/h, pulling power is diesel. Can carry 114 passenger. Manufactured by Siemens Mobility GmbH, Krefeld-Uerdingen, Germany in 2010. These train engines were delivered in 2010.
