Hello, neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look at the CURT class II drawbar. Now, this is gonna be for an inch and a quarter-inch hitch. Now, our ball mount here is in our rise position, which is gonna be perfect for we have our Malibu here pulling a small utility trailer and it's gonna work perfect with its 3 1/8 inch rise. Now, it can only be used in the rise position and this is gonna be great for a smaller vehicle and a smaller trailer combo and part of that is gonna be because of its capacity. And it's rated pretty decent here with a gross trailer weight rating of 3,500 pounds and a tongue weight of 350 pounds so not too shabby, especially for a class II hitch. Now, you are gonna need a half-inch pin and clip as it's not actually included with the drawbar. So, you're gonna wanna pick one of those up and maybe even a locking one. That way, you can leave this on your vehicle locked in place and no one's gonna walk away with it. Now, also not included is going to be a ball so you're gonna wanna pick one of those up. And generally, with your class II, you're gonna be looking at an inch and a 7/8 ball or a two-inch ball. But either way, you're gonna look for a 3/4 inch diameter hole when choosing the ball. Now, this one we have an inch and 7/8 because it works perfectly for coupling up to our utility trailer. Now, something to keep in mind too is choosing the right length. And you can see here, our hitch is kind of recessed here on the Malibu so measuring from the center of our hitch pin hole to the center of the ball is gonna be 11 1/4 inch, which is gonna be great because it gives us plenty of clearance. That way, it's not making contact with our rear fascia. And it's also gonna be a solid steel construction with a black powder coat finish so it's gonna be perfectly fine to leave on the vehicle.
