“I was there when Lily-May was born… and I was there when she was ripped away from me.” Those are the words of Leanne Vaughan, whose 17-year-old daughter was killed in a road traffic collision in Shawbury Heath, Shropshire in February 2023. Lily-May was a passenger of the vehicle, which was being driven by her boyfriend Logan Addison who was 17 at the time. Addison is now serving a five-year sentence after he was found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving earlier this year. Leanne is bravely sharing the painful truth about reckless driving and the ripple effects of one decision. Created in partnership with RoadPeace, a charity supporting road crash victims. To find out more about the support that RoadPeace can provide, visit https://www.roadpeace.org/ or call their helpline on 0800 160 1069. John Campion proudly funds the work of RoadPeace to support victims in the West Mercia Police area.
