Snowflake are soon entering their new financial year, which means we can expect to hear about their plans for 2026 and beyond. However, in 2025 they released a staggering 42 updates and as a result it can be quite easy to miss the benefits that a new product or a new release can bring to a business - to your business. As Snowflake specialists, we felt it was important as Clekt to highlight the features available to you today and strip away the jargon surrounding them. Clekt’s Chris Harling and Elliott Fairhall head up our latest episode of Clektive Thinking highlighting our top three Snowflake releases from 2025 and most importantly, why they matter. In this video you’ll learn: 1. What the Snowflake Horizon Catalogue is, and why it matters. 2. How Snowflake Cortex AI SQL is enabling businesses to reduce their reliance on off-the-shelf SaaS tools through smart AI tooling. 3. What Snowflake Intelligence is, and how it can help your business to make data-driven decisions Summary It’s been incredibly difficult to pinpoint just three areas that excite us here at Clekt. We have honourable mentions for Workspaces for developers (to enable collaboration), and DBT functionality (making it easier to develop models within Snowflake) both of which are encouraging technical teams and business teams to start working together a lot more collaboratively. In short collaboration is a theme, so too is innovation, we can clearly see AI powered functionality has been making headlines. But ultimately, we just want to make sure that we have the right information at the right time with the right access. This means we can make the right decisions – and ultimately, put data at the fingertips of people who may not have been able to access it in such a way before.
