301st Fighter Wing sponsors USAFA Cadet Squadron 34

Members of the 301st Fighter Wing received the unique opportunity to impact the next generation of air force leaders over Labor Day weekend during a trip made to the United States Air Force Academy as part of the cadet sponsorship program. Historically, sponsor wings have only come from the active duty Air Force. But in December of 2011, the 301st became the first Air Force Reserve Command sponsor wing selected to support one of the 40 cadet squadrons, Cadet Squadron 34 ... nicknamed the Loose Hawgs. The program's goal is to prepare cadets for a successful military career by coupling them with Air Force units they will likely see after graduation.
