In this video, I am demonstrating the technique I use for applying a fine crackle finish using DecoArt One Step Crackle medium. The One Step Crackle medium creates a very fine crackle pattern, which is similar to aged porcelain. I find it looks beautiful using metallic paint as the topcoat and gives a subtle, unique look. I am using it with my Slainte/Welcome Celtic Artwork painting project. The pattern with full instructions as well as several sizes and variations of the linework is available here on my website: https://tolepaintingdesigns.com/decor... I also offer the wood surface for the tavern board on my website here: https://tolepaintingdesigns.com/decor... The pattern is 21 pages long and has over 35 color photos to assist you in creating this beautiful design. The linework offers several variations so that you can use any surface you choose. there are corner motifs, straight lines, and curves so that you can easily adapt it to any box, plaque, or tray you desire. It would even look pretty on stationary or paper. The "Slainte" version is painted on Etched Stone Paper which is a wonderful and unique surface for painting, drawing, and journaling. I am so impressed with this paper that I became an affiliate. You can read more about it at the Etched Stone Paper website here: https://etchedstonepaper.com/collecti... (This is an affiliate link and I receive a small compensation from Etched, at no cost to you) I hope this helps you all understand the DecoArt crackle finish a bit more. It is a great product.
