This deck started out as a way to test all my favorite ramp engines: 1. The Enigma Jewel and Collector's Vault 2. Llanowar Elf and Joint Exploration 3. The Enigma Jewel and Insidious Fungus 4. Fabled Passage and Virtue of Knowledge 5. Llanowar Elf and Overlord of the Hauntwoods ...and my only payoff was Doppelgang. It was fun messing around, and the I wondered if the Upheaval style of play from Modern was doable in Standard with Season of Weaving and River's Rebuke both being in Standard. I set out brewing, made some adjustments, and came up with this. The idea here is to think of 5/8/11. 5 opens up some play options at the 2,3, and 5 mana slots, but also allows you to Awaken the Woods for 3 to set up 8 for your next turn. At 8 you can Doppelgang for 2 if needed, and 11 lets you Doppelgang for 3 or Play both Season of Weaving and Invasion of Arcavios..to bring Weaving back to your hand. So ultimately you want to set up big Doppelgangs or loop Arcavios/Weaving to keep bouncing your opponent's board back to lock them out. It's a 50/50 deck right now, but it's a nice change of pace after spamming Waverider Breach to hit Mythic. Give it a whirl and let me know what you think, but don't go spending your lunch money on too many wild cards.
