In today’s video, I’m sharing the honest story of how my family and I were removed from the first church we ever truly called home. This was the church we became members of… the church we were baptized in… and the place where we thought we would grow in faith and community. But everything changed after a conversation with our pastor about biblical views on divorce and remarriage. When our family simply answered his general question using Scripture — verses like Matthew 19:9, Acts 17:30-31, Romans 7:2-4, and 1 Corinthians 7:10-11 — the situation escalated quickly. What was meant to be a biblical discussion turned personal, and we were told our views were “incorrect” and that we could no longer attend or serve in the church. Later, the church council allowed us to attend but removed us from all volunteer roles and church communication. This experience was painful and confusing, but it taught us something powerful: stand firm in God’s Word, even when others disagree. Never let anyone in leadership make you feel wrong for following Scripture. And when God reveals that it’s time to move — move. He will make it clear through people’s actions, their spirit, and their fruit. Today, my family is healing, growing, and praying for the right new church home.
