Ok, I know fishermen love to tell stories and occasionally embellish them, BUT this is the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Starting at the 13:10 mark, I hooked into what would have been the largest bass I have ever caught. I was using a KVD Bleeding Shad spinnerbait with 20lb braid backing and 17 lb flourocarbon leader. I took my time trying to wear the fish down, and just when I went to pull it into the boat, it bolted and snapped my line:-( Darn it. I am going to switch out the leader to 20 lb test but who knows when I will hook another fish this size. I'll just have to keep trying:-) Aside from that, it was a great day with 22 bass making it onto the boat and most of those were in the 3 lb range with a few 1 lbers.
