Nament is built around a new patch where restraint is the main focus. The overall rhythmic feel is deliberately more docile and spacious than my usual work. That calm foundation starts with Step 8 from Joranalogue, which I’m using as a controlled zone to generate simpler, more grounded beat patterns. From there, the structure begins to bend. The rhythm is continuously nudged—and occasionally disrupted—by BitLogic generated via the Leibniz system. These logic signals are routed through Schlappi BTMX, allowing me to selectively enable and disable logic-driven behavior in real time. Via BTMX, I’m modulating parameters such as pause, reverse, and pattern flow on Joranalogue Step 8, creating moments where the rhythm suddenly makes a sharp U-turn. The loop reconfigures itself, yet remains musically coherent. The system stays readable, but never static. Leibniz logic also fires and shapes multiple envelopes, including those driving the bass voice. The bass originates from Alia by Noise Engineering, routed through Tarot La Coupe from Modulaire Maritime. This chain pushes hard into low-end resonant territory: the filter is already on the edge, and opening it further makes the sound scream—controlled, dirty, and deeply funky. On the melodic side, arpeggiated chordal material is generated by Multiwave, with extensive modulation from PoliMaths, both by Make Noise. This combination is central to the track’s evolving harmonic behavior. Multiwave outputs eight notes derived from a full per-octave signal, with each note receiving its own envelope. By manipulating envelope length and overlap per note, the harmonic texture is in constant motion—subtly shifting, breathing, and recombining over time. The result is a track where clear logical patterns are always present, but never fixed. When logic paths are switched via BTMX, the system subtly reconfigures itself, staying calm, sweet, and alive. Nament is all about controlled logic drifting into organic variation. #roelfunckenmusic #idmmusic #eurorackmodular
