“Then Jesus said to her, ‘Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.’ And her daughter was healed at that moment.” (Matthew 15:28) This verse comes from a powerful encounter between Jesus and a Canaanite woman. She was not part of Israel — in fact, she came from a people often seen as outsiders. Yet, when her daughter was suffering terribly from a demon, she came to Jesus, crying out for mercy. At first, Jesus did not answer her, and even His disciples urged Him to send her away. But the woman refused to give up. She kept pleading, “Lord, help me.” When Jesus tested her faith by saying that it was not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs, her response was humble yet full of confidence. She said, “Yes, Lord, but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.” What a remarkable answer! She was not offended, not discouraged, and not prideful. She simply believed that even a crumb of Jesus’ power was enough to heal her child. And that is when Jesus declared these amazing words: “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” At that very moment, her daughter was healed — not because of her position, her background, or her worthiness, but because of her persistent faith. This story teaches us something profound about faith and the heart of God. True faith is not based on who we are, but on who God is. It is not about deserving something, but about trusting completely in His mercy. The woman had every reason to walk away — silence, rejection, and social barriers stood against her. Yet she clung to the belief that Jesus’ compassion was greater than all those obstacles. In our lives, there are moments when it feels like our prayers go unanswered. We might feel unheard, unworthy, or overlooked. But this passage reminds us that Jesus always sees genuine faith. Sometimes, delays are not denials — they are opportunities for our faith to grow deeper. When we continue to seek Him, even when the answer seems far away, we show that our trust is not in the outcome but in the character of God Himself. The Canaanite woman’s faith moved the heart of Jesus. Her persistence became the bridge between her pain and her miracle. And that same faith still moves the heart of God today. Whatever you’re praying for, whatever you’ve been waiting on, don’t give up. Keep coming to Jesus. Even when heaven seems silent, hold on to His goodness. Because when faith meets His mercy, miracles happen. So let this verse remind you — God is not distant, and He is not ignoring your cries. He honors faith that endures, trusts, and believes despite the obstacles. And just as He spoke to that woman long ago, He still says to those who believe today: “You have great faith — your request is granted.” #Bible, #dailybibleverse, #christianshorts, #christianmotivation, #christianencouragement, #faith, #trustGod, #prayer, #Matthew1528, #GodsMercy, #unshakablefaith, #GodsTiming, #breakthroughprayer
