Youths demonstrate in Isiolo over stalled stadium

Youths belonging to different football clubs across Isiolo held demos today in Isiolo town barricading major roads which brought the town to a standstill for some hours as they engaged police in running battles. The youth demanded that the county government respond to the over the status of Isiolo Stadium which has stalled for four years denying the right to engage in sporting activities since many grounds are in poor playing conditions. Abdulrazak, one of the youths demonstrating, said that the county government has not provided any concrete answers to their queries and has dismissed their petitions. The youths also questioned why police were using excessive force to quell the demonstrations while displaying life bullets that they displayed on the cameras.
