The poem 'Then said The Devil' (Hebrew - אז אמר השטן - Az Amar Ha'Satan) was written by Israeli poet Nathan Alterman (נתן אלתרמן) was written in the aftermath of the Six Day War and was published posthumously in 1970. It was written with Israel in mind and even though it doesn't mention it explicitly, it speaks of the dangerous and destructive of ideological subversion. Fifty years later, it is relevant not only to Israel, but to the West as a whole. This is a clip of me reciting the song in Hebrew to a slideshow of the original lyrics along with my very own informal English translation, combined with imageries from my favorite movies and TV show I thought were relevant. Back ground music is Reminiscence (Cello Soloist) by Sasha Markovic. After the poem there's an excerpt from a 1984 interview with Yuri Bezmenov in which he explains ideological subversion and how it was applied on the US by the KGB.
