This winter season is INSANE! I hadn't been this excited in a long time. After a weak 2025, in which I felt no interest in new releases (I didn't even make seasonal top lists), 2026 has started very strong. And it had to be obvious, look at the list of artists present this season: Old acquaintances such as YOASOBI, Tatsuya Kitani, King Gnu, Sawano, Mrs. GREEN APPLE, Official HIGE DANdism, THE ORAL CIGARETTES, ALI, SPYAIR. New faces like HANA, BABYMETAL and CHANMINA, and big surprises like Takanori Nishikawa, Yoshino, Akari Kitou, ano, PassCode, blank paper and Haru Igarashi. However, as is often the case, there have been disappointments. The biggest disappointment of the season was the new Vigilante OP. A forgettable song, and the worst part were the visuals, a completely downgrade respect to the first OP. By the way, although I was very upset by the news that Mrs. GREEN APPLE would be singing the new opening theme for Frieren, I've already managed to change my mind. I needed to listen to lulu. several times, but I finally liked the song. Whatever, this season is being spectacular, and I hope the following ones are just as good.
