Here is a demonstration of the lack of training that police in Scotland have around the changes to the law to permit medical cannabis, and how with the right attitude they can learn on the job. Since I need to make some linking videos with explanations to attach to the full version of the encounter that I aim to release, this video is a little teaser, clickbait, portion of the most recent encounter I had with Police Scotland. Its 2 of the 5 videos I took of the interaction that was around an hour and a half long in total. I didn't film the full interaction as officer E766 had been decent from the start and was making enquiries with my GPs office to validate my private prescription, also talking to the private clinic as my GP didn't have or couldn't see record of the private prescription. I started filming here as officer E0732 who was stood at my drivers door made a comment when the other officer E766 closed my passenger door, saying that there's no such thing as medical cannabis or something similar... I feel it important to share to help people prepare themself for how a police encounter around medical cannabis could go, none of the 4 officers involved had seen it before, if it wasn't for the good guy doing his job properly and learning on the job it could have been far worse. A bit different to the regular content I'm aiming to share on the channel but relevant to the purpose behind doing the podcast. Personally I've had a lot of negative experiences around cannabis access and aim to tell my own story on the podcast in due time. This encounter was actually the second best I've had with any police. the best was not recorded by myself but was when I was stopped by officers T219 and T336. They recognised and accepted my prescription and also my needle phobia, did a field impairment test and had me on my way, around 15 minutes after I was initially stopped. The end result of the encounter here was relatively positive I feel, in that some police officers at Police Scotland actually got some training around medical cannabis and I went on with my day after the traffic police arrived and did a field impairment test which I passed.
