Originally from Rhode Island, Dr. Jeffrey Gilligan is a chief neurosurgery resident at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He went into the neurosurgery field not only because of his fascination with the variety of neurosurgical cases, but because he saw it as the ultimate challenge for himself. “I think it’s one of the most kind of difficult, most complex things.
