Gliding Regions: Karawanken in North Wind conditions

In Spring 2022 I could gain some first experience in light North Föhn conditions in the Karawanken Region. There was an interesting video in Late Night Soaring about this region    • Nordföhn: Zwischen Karawanken und Bozen mi...   with some specialists with much more experience than me and these images here might be interesting as supplement to this talk. At this day the continuation east of Koschuta was impossible because there was simply zero wind. Nobody got back without engine use. The rest was fairly easy though and it is a very well structured terrain. Due to the fresh snowy mountains and the fog in the valleys it was an unforgettable experience.
