It is also the fifth-most populous city in the United States, the largest state capital by population, Phoenix has long, extremely hot summers and short, mild winters. Scottsdale is also know for great nightlife and entertainment that starts at brunch and extends all day. Phoenix and Scottsdale are known for great golfing and there are over 200 courses in the area. But if you are not an avid golfer you may enjoy going to the Waste Management Open which has turned into a giant party or going to Top Golf. Spring Training there are 15 teams whose spring trainings happen in the Phoenix area are the Arizona Diamondbacks, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians, Colorado Rockies, Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers, Milwaukee Brewers, Oakland Athletics, San Diego Padres, Seattle Mariners, San Francisco Giants, and Texas Rangers.
