Minecraft GTTE #25: Finding a Fortress

Minecraft: Getting to the End Installment #25 I spent some time enchanting my armor and weapons in preparation for battling the Ender Dragon. In the video I cover the inventory that I take with me when searching for a Fortress, then I head outside and start the quest. An Eye of Ender thrown into the air will travel in the direction of the nearest Fortress. This isn't an exact science, and sometimes the EoE will disappear rather than fall to be recollected. Take extras and use them in open spaces and you should be okay. Surprisingly my base is very close to a Fortress which takes me several tries to actually believe. Once you figure out you're near a fortress it's time to dig down. I use a spiral staircase to avoid falling into the lave below a non-activated End portal. http://minecraft.jumptuck.com
