I spent my whole working life in the Electricity Industry in the days when it was a National set-up - the C.E.G.B. (Central Electricity Generating Board). They had a film unit which produced many excellent films for training and public awareness. Sadly when we were privatised most of our 16mm film copies were consigned to the skip! I did try to rescue one or two! This film talks about wind power and future developments - things have progressed these days - with I believe, the UK having the largest installed wind power capacity (in Europe I guess). I remember bits of this were filmed at sea in the Solent and on Lepe Beach, near to Fawley Power Station (Southampton Water). We certainly used this film among many to show at Fawley Power Station (near Southampton) on the Public Open Days each year. Some bits about Fawley Power Station on my web-site - check out 'glnlegacy' section! www.pathefilm.uk (I make no money from these uploads)
