Iconic Treetops reopens after three years of clossure

The iconic treetops hotel that hosted the late Queen Elizabeth has reopened its doors, following a three-year closure occasioned by the COVID19 pandemic. The hotel, one of the three in the Aberdare national park, holds a significant history that ties Kenya to the British, as it the place where, the then princess Elizabeth learnt of her father’s demise and her ascension to the throne. The reopening was attended by high level delegates including deputy president Rigathi Gachagua, who called for a tone down of the political tensions in order to revive the tourism sector.
