2017 was an extraordinary year for gaming. This year saw the release of countless exceptional games. AAA and indie developers stepped up to push the artistic and technological boundaries of the medium to new heights. The games released this year will be remembered and celebrated for decades to come. These are by no means the only worthwhile games from 2017. It is impossible to feature every strong title in one 2 minute video. Your favorite game probably isn't missing because I don't think it is worthy, it is more likely that it didn't fit in well with the rest, or that it had to go to keep the video under 2 minutes. For the sake of simplicity, the only titles eligible for inclusion were those which had their North American release in 2017. Remasters and DLC additions were also excluded.
