We took a quick 2-hour Airlink flight from Cape Town, landing at Skukuza Airport, with breathtaking views of Kruger National Park. Pro tip: Get a window seat—you might spot wildlife as you descend! 🦒✨ The team at Umkumbe Bush Lodge arranged our private airport transfer, and within 40 minutes, we arrived at the lodge, already spotting wildlife along the way. Umkumbe offers two lodges—the River Lodge and the Bush Lodge—with 10 luxurious tented suites. We stayed in the Leadwood Luxury Tent, complete with a comfy bed, mosquito net, en-suite bathroom, outdoor shower, and refreshing AC—a must during South Africa’s summer. Each day includes two game drives, delicious meals, and relaxing downtime.
