CIMeC | Center of Mind/Brain Sciences

The CIMeC (Center for Mind/Brain Sciences; Centro Interdipartimentale Mente/Cervello) is an interdisciplinary research and teaching center. The Center draws on faculty from several departments, including: Psychology and Cognitive Science Physics Mathematics Information Engineering and Computer Science Its faculty and members originate from several Italian and European countries, as well as many other countries all over the world. The CIMeC has been recently ranked as the leading Cognitive Neuroscience research unit in Italy. Its faculty have won several highly competitive grants on the international and national levels, including European Research Council (ERC) Starting, Consolidator and Advanced grants, as well as highly competitive grants awarded by the local province. The center is responsible for a Master’s and Ph.D. program and enjoys success in placement of graduates of both programs. This is due to a strong emphasis on empirical work throughout the student’s formation stages. www.cimec.unitn.it
