France: Protesters riot with police over the new security law
Tens of thousands of people staged demonstrations across France on Saturday (28/11), after the submission of the Security Bill (RUU) which would limit the shooting of police officers. In a number of locations the demonstration ended in chaos between the demonstrators and the police. If the bill is passed, anyone who publishes a photo or video of a police officer on duty with the intention of damaging the physical or psychological integrity of the apparatus could face up to one year in prison and a fine of 45,000 euros.
