What Documents are Required for Home Loan Application Process? | Eden Group

Are you looking to purchase a property and planning to get a home loan for it? But you lack knowledge about what are the necessary documents that will be required in the process? Does the list of required documents vary between a salaried individual and a business professional? The first step in applying for a home loan is to fill out the home loan application form with your passport size photographs. The next step involves submitting documents for proof of identification and age like pan card, passport, Aadhar card, voter ID card or driving license. They also require you to submit proof of address like bank passbook, Voter ID card, Ration card, passport, electricity bill, water bill, phone bill, policy report or a letter from a recognized public authority. Now the next set of documents vary for salaried individuals and self-employed individuals. If you are salaried individual you must present documents such as Form 16, certified letter from employer, pay-slip of last two months, promotion or increment letter, IT returns of the past three years, fixed deposit and share investments if one has any. But if you are self employed the documents that are required are IT returns of the past three years, profit & loss statements of the company ( both these documents must be verified and signed by an accountant ), business license details, the license of professional practice, registration certificate of enlistment and proof of business address.
