🇬🇭 69TH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION – MADINA MUNICIPALITY On the occasion of Ghana’s 69th Independence Day Celebration, I delivered a keynote address at the Madina Astroturf Park under the national theme: “Building Prosperity, Restoring Hope.” In my address, I reminded residents that Ghana’s independence was achieved through the sacrifice and resilience of our forefathers and that it remains the responsibility of every citizen to protect and strengthen the freedom we enjoy today. I emphasized that nation-building is a shared responsibility, calling on all citizens to contribute positively toward the development of the municipality and the country at large. I also highlighted several government initiatives aimed at improving education across the country, including: • Construction of 600 new basic school buildings nationwide • The No Fees Stress Policy to support first-year students in public tertiary institutions • Free tertiary education for persons living with disability • Expansion of the Free SHS policy to selected private schools At the municipal level, the Assembly continues to invest in education and community development through initiatives such as: • Construction of a modern classroom block at Pantang Basic School • Supply of single and dual desks to Senior High Schools in the municipality • Collaboration with Qatar Charity for the construction of a school building, teachers’ bungalow, clinic and mosque at Baba Yara School. I further called on residents to support the Assembly’s sanitation drive and actively participate in the monthly Sanitation Day, held on the first Saturday of every month, to help maintain a clean and healthy environment. As we commemorate 69 years of independence, let us remain committed to unity, responsible citizenship, and collective action to build a prosperous future for our municipality and our nation. 🇬🇭 Long Live La Nkwantanang–Madina Municipal Assembly 🇬🇭 Long Live Ghana
