Student Therapy - Number Two Subscribe: https://youtube.com/strokeofmadness?s... On Thanksgiving Day of 2019, Lidia suffered from a basil ganglia intercerebral hemorrhagic stroke. If you are like us, your insurance may have denied some stroke treatment, so we look for every opportunity to get some good sessions of PT in. We volunteer up at the university to help students get experience with patients that have suffered from a brain injury and need assistance with physical therapy. We were sent home from this session of physical therapy with some homework of additional sit-to-stands, weight-bearing on her right arm, and walking like a speed skater shifting weight onto her affected side in an exaggerated way. A big thanks goes out to the students who have helped us along the way and we will continue to look for other ways to volunteer and participate in helping others with their stroke recovery.
