This city may be small in size, but its significance is enormous — because Jarwar is the birthplace of the legendary Bhagat Kanwar Ram Sahib. 🛕 The city is home to 4–5 temples and one gurdwara, including the most sacred site: SSD Devri Sahib Temple, which was once the very home of Bhagat Kanwar Ram Sahib himself. 🌟 Who Was Bhagat Kanwar Ram? Born on 13 April 1885 in this very city, Bhagat Kanwar Ram spent his early years in Jarwar, and it was here that he first began singing devotional bhajans. His voice was said to carry divine magic — a melody that stirred hearts across Sindh and the Indian subcontinent. Despite his fame, Bhagat Kanwar Ram lived humbly. All the wealth he earned from singing was given away to the poor and needy, especially to help girls from poor families get married. He dedicated his entire life to serving humanity. ✨ His miracles are still remembered — like the time a grieving mother brought her dead son to Bhagat Sahib, and through divine grace, he came back to life. Stories like this made him not just a singer, but a spiritual legend. 💔 His Martyrdom But as Bhagat Kanwar Ram's popularity grew, his enemies grew restless. On November 1, 1939, while at Ruk Station, he was martyred — shot by those who couldn’t bear to see his rising spiritual light.
